This position has arisen because the current HR Director is retiring at the end of this year, having worked in the company for the past 16 years. This new Part-Time HR Manager role has been created to support the management team, board members and line managers and keep things moving from an HR perspective. The role will become available from Jan 2025.


Part-Time HR Manager Responsibilities

This job role outlines the minimum tasks and competencies expected to be demonstrated within the role. In line with our client’s values, they encourage proactivity and innovation:

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with the company’s vision and values
  • Manage end to end recruitment cycle including scheduling and conducting interviews
  • Provide ongoing advice and guidance as the HR expert on all HR and ER matters with a strong knowledge of and hands-on experience with UK employment law, legislation and compliance
  • Monitor and evaluate HR initiatives and projects, providing feedback and improvements
  • Work collaboratively across the company and all departments, building effective relationships

Part-Time HR Manager Rewards

This is a part-time position working 22.5 hours spread across 3 or 5 days per week, (5 days is their preference) Monday-Friday. Core working hours are between 10am - 4pm with flexiible start and finish times.

You will be expected to be in the office 2 days a week.


There isn't any onsite parking, however there is a bus stop right outside the office, and it's just 10 minutes' walk from the train station.


Interviews will consist of an initial Teams or In-Person interview which will involve some assessments followed by a face-to-face interview at the office.


The probationary period will be 6 months.

Part-Time HR Manager Experience

To be successful in this role you will be CIPD level 5 or equivalent with solid HR Manager experience from within the UK in a generalist Manager level capacity. You must have a minimum of 4 years’ experience at HR Manager level or similar. You will be experienced at supporting employees across their full employment journey from the initial recruitment, selection and onboarding to the employee relations, wellbeing and culture to ongoing learning and development, retention and engagement through to exit interview. You will be involved in operational and strategic HR work as part of the senior management team and therefore must have demonstrable experience of working as part of a SMT/ SLT at a strategic and transactional level. You will be a people-focused HR professional, able to build strong stakeholder relationships and empower and enable others. You will be influential and credible and have experience of making commercial HR decisions and managing an HR budget for annual salary and bonus reviews for example. You must have strong UK employment law knowledge. It would be beneficial if you have standalone HR experience as well as working and supporting an HR team within a commercial and consultancy environment.


Location

Hybrid - minimum of 2 days a week in the central Oxford office



You must have full right to work in the UK and live locally to be able to commute into central Oxford as required.
