We're recruiting for our well-established, listed client who have a reputation for excellence and innovation in the tech and engineering sectors. They are growing their UK sales team and we're looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager. With a solid support system of engineering and technical experts behind you, you'll have the resources you need to succeed.



As our Business Development Manager, you'll be the driving force behind our sales efforts. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Selling Technical Solutions: Promote and sell our range of technical and engineering solutions to local authorities across the UK.
  • Building Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with design consultancies to influence decisions at the design stage.
  • Travelling: Be willing to travel across the EMEA region as needed to meet clients and close deals.
  • Market Disruption: Use your high-energy and enthusiastic approach to disrupt the traditional market and grow market share.
  • Strategic Sales: Work independently in a standalone sales role to meet and exceed your sales budget.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Extensive experience selling technical or engineering solutions to local authorities and design consultancies. Local Government sales experience is ESSENTIAL
  • Technical Appreciation: While you don’t need to be an in-depth technical expert, an appreciation for engineering product and solution is sought.
  • Sales Savvy: Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets in a similar role.
  • Travel-Ready: Willingness to travel across the EMEA region as required.
  • High Energy: Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and ready to take on the challenge of growing market share in a traditional sector.
