Overview: We are looking for a Compliance Testing Consultant to join our team, working with a leading investment bank. In this role, you will support the Financial Crime Compliance Testing team, focusing on areas such as Financial Crime Prevention, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Anti-Terrorist Financing. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering compliance reviews to ensure the bank’s controls effectively manage compliance risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Compliance Testing: Carry out testing activities to assess the bank’s financial crime risk management practices across different business areas and functions.
Evaluate Risk and Controls: Review the effectiveness of processes and controls to manage compliance risks, identifying root causes and providing insights into risk management practices.
Document and Report Findings: Prepare detailed workpapers documenting testing results and produce comprehensive reports in line with the bank’s Group Compliance Testing & Monitoring methodology.
Stakeholder Communication: Validate findings with key stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and clear communication throughout the process.
Maintain Timely Reporting: Ensure all testing activities are reported on time, contributing to the Annual Testing and Monitoring Plan.
Support Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the consistency and accuracy of testing outcomes.
Collaborate with the Team: Work alongside other compliance officers to support broader testing and monitoring tasks as required.
Key Skills and Experience:
Compliance Testing Expertise: Demonstrable experience in compliance monitoring, testing, or internal audit activities, particularly within financial crime, AML, and anti-terrorist financing.
Risk Management Knowledge: Strong understanding of control frameworks, risk management practices, and the ability to assess compliance processes.
Self-Starter: Proven ability to take initiative and ownership of tasks, especially in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines and constant change.
Excellent Communication Skills: Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills, able to engage and build relationships at all levels.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate risks and make actionable recommendations to enhance compliance processes
