Job Purpose: Supporting the Sales Team, identifying opportunities through various channels such as online portals and communicating with consultants.


Submitting winning bids to a range of clients in the corporate, education and public sectors.

As Bid Writer you will be responsible for preparing and writing compelling bid proposals. This role requires a strategic approach to writing, ensuring that all proposals are tailored to the client’s specific requirements whilst showcasing our company's strengths and capabilities.


You will work closely with various departments in the organisation, to gather necessary information to develop convincing narrative that reflects the company’s values and ethos. Ensure that all bids are submitted on time and to the highest standard.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Researching and managing portals and identifying relevant opportunities. All opportunities must be within the M25, ideally within Central London.
  • Working with the Sales team to review opportunities, conduct bid/no-bid analysis and establish timelines for tender process.
  • Conduct thorough research on potential clients and their needs to create customised and relevant proposals.
  • Meeting with Sales Lead to capture the raw information and details required to then develop technical responses.
  • Supporting the Sales Team in providing technical responses and bespoke narrative to bid requirements.
  • Working with internal subject matter experts and specialist subcontractors, to design and agree solutions and translate these into winning proposals.
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements, regulations and industry standards.
  • Respond to and clarify queries associated with tender submissions.
  • Completion of various administrative tasks, preparing, designing and formatting of proposals, presentations, marketing material and intro packs etc.
  • Organise, maintain and update existing bid library of proposal content for future use.
  • Monitor and evaluate bid performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.


Experience

  • Proven experience in bid writing, proposal writing, or a similar role.
  • Experience in FM or cleaning background preferred.


Skills and attributes

  • Creative approach to developing responses and solutions that meet individual client requirements, including innovation, sustainability, energy management.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of innovations within the FM sector.


Qualifications

  • Proven technical services background.
  • Strong writing skills and command of the English language.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
