Margo's, our restaurant, serves modern European dishes, using sustainable, seasonal and wherever possible, locally sourced ingredients.

The Floor Managers role is to maintain the best level of service on the restaurant floor and bar operations during operating hours. You will be the go to person during service toassist reception in turning tables in the restaurant, to manage and handle customer complaints, to update POS changes, liaising with the chef on duty on daily food change and to run training sessions for the staff on and off duty.

Responsibilities

  • Creating training plans and ensuring they are implemented/updated for the servers, server assistants, bussers. All training plans must be double checked by GM.

  • Focus specifically on service for bartenders, hosts & waiters

  • Oversee organization, efficiency and policies pertaining to service on every floor.

  • Is responsible for POS for daily changes that pertain to that shift (new menu items, price change, etc.) as well as daily employee edits after each shift.

  • Perform a running inventory of items stored in The Dally. Will be responsible for creating a system and maintaining it so there is never any question as to what we have in that space.

  • Supervises staff in terms of guest service, cleaning, and repairs to restaurant and grounds.

  • Works on the floor during breakfast, lunch and dinner service, the floor comes first before any duties. When leaving the floor, must alert co-managers or team.

Skills & Experience

  • At least 3 years experience working in restaurants

  • At least 3 years experience managing in luxury hospitality

  • Complete understanding of food hygiene requirements set out by the Food Standards Agency

  • A positive attitude and willingness to be flexible in helping all other departments

  • Experience in maintaining storesand effective stock management

  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently

  • Master at multi-tasking and delegating

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with leaders on all levels internally and externally

  • Knowledge of business processes
