New Business Development Executive

The Role:
RiverSafe is seeking a results-driven New Business Development Executive to join our team. This role is primarily focused on generating new conversations with prospective clients and converting them into valuable business opportunities. The ideal candidate will excel at building relationships, demonstrating value to customers and articulating our service solutions to create client-specific outcomes.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive, results-oriented professional with a consultative sales approach and a passion for technology. They should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams and driving business growth through new client acquisition. This role offers the opportunity to play a crucial part in RiverSafe’s expansion by identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities in the rapidly evolving fields of Cyber security, DevOps, and Application security.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets.
- Establish credible dialogue with decision-makers using various communication channels (phone, email, LinkedIn, face-to-face meetings).
- Develop a deep understanding of clients' business objectives, challenges and opportunities related to Cyber security, DevOps and AppSec.
- Create and nurture a pipeline of profitable opportunities by leveraging industry knowledge and expert business development skills.
- Craft and deliver compelling proposals and presentations that drive win-win outcomes for customers and RiverSafe.
- Negotiate effectively with customers to maximize project value and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal teams to qualify, progress and win new business.
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline data and compile reports for management.
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs.
Skill
- Experience selling IT services, preferably Cyber Security, is essential.
- 3-4 years of proven sales experience and quota achievement in IT services.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage C-level executives.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex technical solutions.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
- Self-starter with exceptional organisational and time management skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to research target audiences and personalise outreach.
- Experience in leveraging professional social platforms for customer engagement.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn about evolving technology trends.
