Job Summary:

The Events Business Development Executive is responsible for expanding the client base and growing the revenue of the events catering and hospitality division. The primary focus of this role is to build strategic relationships with hotels, venues, and other event organizers in the Croydon and greater London area, with the goal of securing preferred supplier status and securing ongoing food services contracts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and target potential new client organizations, including hotels, venues, event planners, and other event hosts in the Croydon and London area.
  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to secure preferred supplier status with target organizations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at target client organizations through regular contact, networking, and personalized outreach.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive proposals and presentations highlighting the company's event catering and hospitality capabilities, service offerings, and competitive advantages.
  • Negotiate favorable contract terms and pricing to secure ongoing food services agreements with client organizations.
  • Collaborate closely with the operations and culinary teams to ensure delivery of exceptional service and quality to maintain and grow existing client relationships.
  • Gather market intelligence, monitor industry trends, and identify new business opportunities to expand the company's client base and service offerings.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management in the events, hospitality, or catering industry.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to identify and nurture key decision-makers.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver persuasive presentations and proposals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of the Croydon and greater London events and hospitality market, as well as industry trends and best practices.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
