Senior Account Manager

Retail PR is a specialist consumer PR agency whose clients span across lifestyle, food & drink, home and online gifting. The successful candidate will be an A-Player, self-starter, motivated to proactively generate press coverage, ideally with 5-7 years consumer agency experience.
The candidate must be happy to work as part of a small team of a high growth business. This opportunity is perfect for a candidate that wants to flourish in an entrepreneurial agency with significant growth potential.

Responsibilities include:
- Previous PR agency experience working with consumer clients, demonstrating solid UK consumer press office experience
- Experience in Consumer PR with an excellent understanding and book of contacts that they can bring with them and inspire the team
- Be a strategic thinker and bring new and exciting ideas to the agency
- Excellent press release writing skills and attention to detail, able to edit and sign off junior team members work to reflect client requirements.
- Proactively pitching media opportunities for clients
- Act as the day to day trusted client advisor; providing strategic guidance, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of their business, and developing innovative strategies for implementing successful client programmes
- Develop and nurture strong media and industry contacts to secure regular pieces of coverage in national publications
- Strong broadcast relationships and demonstration of coverage achieved
- Leveraging content and partnership opportunities
- Managing campaign activities including virtual events, media events, social media planning, influencer activations, sending media mailers and samples
- Creating targeted media lists, inviting journalists & influencers to events and managing RSVPs
- You will have a cross-discipline PR and social experience, having the ability to engage in the social aspect of the campaigns you produce
- Be able to successfully assess rapidly changing industry trends and apply that to your portfolio of work
- Sourcing targeted data using Diary Directory, Roxhill and Readly and reviewing and updating gift guide and shopping page writers
- Excellent presentation skills that allow ideas to come to life for clients in a creative and balanced way
- Pitching for new business opportunities, contributing to campaign strategy, conceptual ideas written and in person presentations
- Manage junior talent and projects to deliver the highest quality of work on time and on budget
- Experience in line management of team members to help them feel supported and reach career goals
- Deliver internal and external documents with a keen attention to detail
- Work closely with the wider team & put forward new ideas
- Provide timely progress reports and in depth reporting
- Understanding of KPIs and ROI as well as reporting methods
- Managing client budgets and reporting on spend and analysing costs
- Experience with key PR software including Onclusive, Readly, Roxhill, Cision, Releasd, NLA
