We are on the hunt for an experienced SEO and Digital Specialist to join our client’s European Content team. The ideal candidate should be a skilled marketer with a proven track record in enhancing site traffic, ROI, and engagement through search optimisation. They should also have a strong passion for all aspects of digital marketing.

The role places significant emphasis on leveraging organic search capabilities to achieve increased and qualified traffic, as well as aiding in acquiring new customers. The position supports UK merchandisers with SEO expertise under the guidance of the Manager Content Merchandising & SEO UK, combining content and best practice SEO across strategic, operational, and tactical levels.


The Role:

  • Collaborate with and support the Manager Content Merchandising & SEO UK in developing the UK Content & SEO strategy, prioritising tactics to achieve business goals, and assisting merchandisers in executing the plan.
  • Audit and enhance both transactional and non-transactional content (product, category, blog, rich content), including the optimisation of Title Tags and Meta Descriptions.
  • Propose, develop, and implement plans to create more engaging non-product content aimed at attracting, engaging, and retaining customers (FAQs, blog posts, content pages, user-generated content through customer feedback, community engagement, and social media).
  • Analyse and optimise the website taxonomy through keyword-driven strategies to improve customer experience and crawlability.
  • Conduct keyword research and execute a keyword strategy aligned with the broader content strategy, monitoring keyword rankings and opportunities via BrightEdge and Authoritas, with a focus on continuous testing and learning to deliver strong ROI.
  • Perform technical on-site auditing and reporting to ensure the SEO health of the platform and websites:
  • Conduct ongoing technical audits and monitoring of websites, providing proactive recommendations (using tools such as Screaming Frog, Google Console, OncrawlBotify).
  • Stay updated with search engine changes (algorithms, etc.) and adapt tactics and platform execution to ensure compliance with guidelines and algorithms.
  • Manage and audit URL rewrites and redirections (404/301, etc.).
  • Improve SEO rankings and brand visibility through content marketing and PR tactics, including link earning and outreach (internal and/or external):
  • Develop a link-building strategy that includes high-quality PR links, social networking, paid and organic link acquisition, and article submission/trading.
  • Optimise and develop our SEO toolset: BrightEdge, OncrawlBotify, AhrefsAuthoritas, Screaming Frog, Google Console, etc.
  • Train merchandising and other marketing teams to enhance digital adoption, SEO knowledge, and capabilities (analytics, keyword research, etc.), as directed by the Manager Content Merchandising & SEO UK.
  • Coordinate projects among all marketing teams (local eComm, EU SEO team, Product Manager teams, Merchandising, etc.).
  • Monitor and analyse ongoing performance, ensuring key stakeholders (including the Manager Content Merchandising & SEO UK) receive weekly and monthly updates:
  • Track and report all SEO activities and overall organic performance using corporate SEO tools and Google Analytics.
  • Monitor keyword rankings via SEO tools like BrightEdge and AhrefsAuthoritas.
  • Analyse data and make proactive recommendations to optimise current marketing programmes based on current and past delivery trends.
  • Conduct continuous competitor analysis to identify risks and opportunities..


Who are we looking for?

  • Proven experience in digital marketing and SEO for a medium to large-sized company.
  • Account management or agency experience is preferred.
  • Native English language skills are required.
  • Strong project management abilities.
  • Personable and effective communicator with excellent team collaboration skills; comfortable working with business representatives, partners, and agencies to create new opportunities.
  • Capable of working independently when necessary, with the ability to collaborate effectively with an off-site manager.
  • Strong analytical skills with a thorough understanding of Google Analytics and Insights for Search.
  • Comprehensive awareness of digital marketing strategies.
  • Technical SEO expertise, including knowledge of HTML, website code, and page structuring for optimal SEO results.
  • Experience with WordPress and Magento is preferred, but not essential.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a results-oriented environment, focusing on achieving KPIs.
  • Creative thinker with a knack for innovative marketing solutions.
  • Familiarity with paid search programmes such as Google AdWords, Yahoo Search Marketing, and Microsoft adCenter is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google enterprise tools is advantageous.
