About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Rally Engineer to join our team at Prodrive, a world-leading independent motorsport company. As a Rally Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the engineering of our event cars is consistent with best practices and meets our technical targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement car specifications for events and pre-event testing in accordance with guidelines set by the Chief Rally Engineer and Chief Designer.
  • Collaborate with the crew to ensure good communication regarding all aspects of car specification, event requirements, and strategy.
  • Prepare and publish rally documentation, including build specs and rally reports, in adequate time to enable all parties to be fully informed of their commitments.
  • Review event conditions on an ongoing basis and brief relevant team members and driver as necessary.
  • Promptly publish accurate and detailed Engineering documents before and after each event and pre-event test.
  • Ensure the car complies with current technical regulations.
  • Manage and report on post-event debriefs with drivers.
  • Analyze car data in conjunction with Performance Analysis Engineers and communicate findings to relevant team members.
  • Provide detailed, accurate, and professional reporting of technical issues using the PICR process as required.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree in a field such as Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
  • Experience in a similar engineering role for a manufacturer team in the WRC/Rally Raid.
  • Knowledge of WRC design and development work and/or management of the WRC design process.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
