Job Description

Job Title: Rally Engineer

Job Summary:

Prodrive is seeking a highly skilled Rally Engineer to join our Rally Raid team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical excellence of our event cars, working closely with the Chief Rally Engineer and Chief Designer to achieve our performance and reliability targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement car specifications for events and pre-event testing, in accordance with guidelines set by the Chief Rally Engineer and Chief Designer.
  • Ensure that the car commences each event with the optimum technical specification to maximize performance.
  • Communicate effectively with the crew regarding all aspects of car specification, event requirements, and strategy.
  • Prepare and publish rally documentation, including build specs and rally reports, in adequate time to enable all parties to be fully informed of their commitments.
  • Review event conditions on an ongoing basis and brief relevant team members and driver as necessary.
  • Manage and report on post-event debriefs with drivers.
  • Analyze car data in conjunction with Performance Analysis Engineers and communicate the findings to the relevant person(s) within the team.
  • Detailed, accurate, and professional reporting of technical issues utilizing the PICR process as required.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in a field such as Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
  • Experience in a similar engineering role for a manufacturer team in the WRC/Rally Raid.
  • Experience of WRC design and development work and/or management of the WRC design process.
  • A can-do approach and positive and flexible attitude.
