HR Business Partner

Are you ready to take on a transformative HR leadership role, driving meaningful cultural change in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment?

Can you navigate complex employee relations challenges while fostering trust and engagement in a diverse workforce?

Do you have the vision and expertise to shape HR strategies that align with business transformation and deliver lasting impact?

Purpose of the Role

The HR Business Partner will play a critical role in partnering with site leadership to deliver high-impact HR solutions. You’ll lead efforts to standardize and implement HR policies, reduce agency reliance, drive employee engagement, and upskill the workforce—all while navigating the challenges of a multicultural and fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a tailored People Plan to support the site’s transformation and align with overarching business strategies.
  • Oversee a range of initiatives, including workforce structure optimization and the alignment of pay and grading systems.
  • Manage complex ER cases with a focus on compliance, fairness, and operational needs.
  • Build trust and accountability across the workforce by addressing challenges in mindset and behaviours.
  • Lead efforts to enhance employee engagement, ensuring alignment with a culturally diverse workforce.
  • Design and deliver training programs to upskill employees and improve leadership capabilities.
  • Drive the transition from agency-based staffing to a more stable salaried workforce.
  • Collaborate with site leadership to improve ways of working and embed a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Support the transition of leadership responsibilities following the departure of key site leaders, ensuring stability and effective decision-making.
  • Champion a safety-first culture, reinforcing adherence to health, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Standardize and implement HR policies and procedures, addressing gaps to ensure consistency and alignment with best practices.
  • Partner with cross-site teams to ensure compliance with ESG goals and regulatory requirements.

What We’re Looking For

  • Extensive HR experience within manufacturing or FMCG environments.
  • Proven success in managing complex employee relations and driving cultural change.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead organisational change projects, particularly those involving workforce transitions and process improvements.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills across all levels of an organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and best practices in HR policy implementation.
  • A mix of strategic vision and hands-on problem-solving capabilities.
  • CIPD Level 5 (essential); CIPD Level 7 (desirable).

What We Offer

This is a unique opportunity to join a business at a critical point of transformation. You’ll work on meaningful projects that shape the future of the site, from improving workforce structures to embedding a high-performance culture.

If you’re passionate about making a tangible impact and driving HR excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Salary up to £60k + benefits.
