Modern Workplace BDM (Channel Partner or End User)

Chippenham – Hybrid after Probation

Up to £45k (£65k OTE) + Benefits

The Role:


As a Hybrid Infrastructure BDM (Business Development Manager), you will be part of the Pre-Sales team, identifying and addressing business and technical challenges for new and existing customers. Your role involves understanding customer goals, providing solutions with strategic vendors, and developing strategies to grow revenue, expand market share, and increase customer satisfaction.


Solution Selling: Fully understand the business and technical challenges customers face in Hybrid Infrastructure.

Sales Support: Ensure sales and presales teams are equipped to deliver solutions, supported by templated offerings and services.

New Business: Proactively hunt for new business within the sales teams and educate Account Managers on key solutions, particularly those delivered by in-house services.

Service Development: Develop and promote infrastructure-centric managed service offerings to complement existing product solutions.

Relationship Management: Actively manage ongoing and strategic relationships, focusing on vendors such as HPE, Dell, Lenovo, Cisco, and Juniper.

Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the product portfolio and competitive landscape.

Account Growth: Work with Account Managers to grow key accounts and maintain long-term relationships with key customer stakeholders.

Marketing Collaboration: Collaborate with Marketing to build and execute campaign and demand generation activities for strategic vendors.


The Candidate:


  • Experience: 2+ years in business development, sales, or marketing in the technology industry.
  • Sales Skills: Proven track record in consultative selling and winning new business, with experience in increasing revenue through lead generation.
  • Technical Knowledge: Experience with networking and/or datacentre solutions is preferred.

  • Organizational Skills: Must be organized, adaptable, flexible, and a good team player.
  • Time Management: Ability to plan and manage time effectively.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret data and report on it.
  • CRM Proficiency: Ability to manage and track lead generation and a sales pipeline through CRM or a sales management system.
  • Strategic Thinking: A strategic mindset with the ability to develop and implement business plans aligned with overall company objectives.
