About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our team at Blue Arrow. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen brigade and ensuring the delivery of exceptional food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Culinary Leadership: Lead and motivate our kitchen team to deliver high-quality dishes and exceptional service.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with our Head Chef to create innovative and delicious menu items that meet the needs of our customers.
  • Kitchen Operations: Supervise and manage all kitchen stations, ensuring efficient and safe food preparation and service.
  • Team Management: Train and develop our kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they reach their full potential.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with determining food inventory needs, stocking, and ordering to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Level 1 and 2 Food Safety Awards, Level 2 Health and Safety in the Workplace Award, and a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience.
  • Skills: Strong culinary skills, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional food quality and service.
  • Certifications: Health and safety and food hygiene certificates.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Certified Culinary Professional: City & Guilds 706/1 or 706/2 Catering, NVQ Level 2 in cookery, or equivalent.
  • Advanced Culinary Skills: Level 3 Food Safety Awards, Modern Apprenticeship route in cooking, or equivalent.
