Get Golfing's venues arefar more than just clubhouses and courses, with versatileevent spacesthat can accommodate up to 300 guests, and ideal for hosting a variety of functions andevents, from weddings, conferences, banquets, business meetings and lively social gatherings. To support their goals and drive revenue growth, Get Golfing is seeking an enthusiastic and proactiveVenue Sales Managerto focus on function andevent sales.

The Role

As theVenue Sales ManageratHampton Court Palace Golf Club, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in promoting and selling the club's function andevent servicesto both individuals and businesses. This role is key to maximising the utilisation of theevent venuesbeyond golf-related activities, with a focus on driving increased revenue through a proactivevenue salesapproach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell the club's facilities andevent servicesto achieve budgeted revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential clients, enhancingevent salesopportunities.
  • Conduct site visits and showcase the venue and itsevent spacesto prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with operational colleagues to develop tailoredevent proposalsthat meet client needs.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamlessevent execution.
  • Manageevent bookings, contracts, and invoicing with precision.
  • Attend networking events and trade shows to generate new leads and securevenue sales
  • Stay updated with industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge inevent sales.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience invenue sales, preferably within theleisure, hospitality, or events industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to close deals effectively in theevent salesspace.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with a focus on building and maintaining client relationships forvenue sales.
  • A detail-oriented and organised approach, with the ability to manage multipleeventssimultaneously.
  • In-depth knowledge ofevent planning and execution processes.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required to meet client needs inevent sales.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software, with a focus on trackingvenue salesperformance.
