As a Candidate Consultant on our Education Department you will be responsible for sourcing a range of candidates. You will be responsible for establishing a consistent pipeline of new candidates through a number of sources like Job boards, Advertising, and our CRM system and thinking outside of the box. This role will also require you oversee candidates compliance, this will include but not be limited to; auditing documents against the specification, produce vetting forms when required, confidently chase references for candidates, process DBS applications, complete file checks for candidates, and assist consultants with compliance queries. Training will of course be given.

  • Great organisation skills
  • Be able to engage and manage multiple candidates at once
  • Applicants must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills since much of the work is done via email or telephone
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
  • Be forward thinking
  • Have a good level of resilience and be hard working
  • Be open to training and upskilling
  • Have a keen eye for detail


Duties and responsibilities


  • Source candidates through various platforms and avenues
  • Manage a large number of candidates
  • Organising and arranging candidate registrations
  • Hold telephone, virtual and face-to-face registration
  • Ensuring a good candidate follow-up of candidates
  • Verify documents as per REC and Safeguarding standings
  • Be able to differentiate between a candidate with good relevant experience and one who is not suitable
  • Cold calling candidates daily
  • Emailing candidates daily
  • Chasing candidates for documents and registrations
  • Be able to hit targets
  • Uploading sourced candidates to our database and requesting the relevant documents for compliance, and greeting the spotting the relevant referencing needs.
  • Be able to write good candidate profiles
  • Have the confidence to hold team meetings to showcase your sourced candidates to your recruitment team
  • Have a good eye for details to spot referencing gaps or discrepancies on CV’s
  • Daily CV searching
  • Daily Advert writing and posting
  • Answering and dealing with telephone enquiries
