About you
As an LMP Engagement Coach, you will be enthusiastic about young people and education. You will use this in the post to increase participation and engagement among students. The primary aim of this post is to deliver support, mentoring and coaching to students who are part of our Alternative Provision. The Engagement Coach will deliver activities including team-building games, building social interaction, critical thinking activities, sports and restorative practice. You will play a pivotal role in mentoring and supporting the students' needs and aiding the retention of students on the course.

About the role
A can-do attitude, excellent communication skills, and a nurturing approach are essential to succeed as one of our engagement coaches. You will engage with young people, support their behaviours and listening skills and encourage a positive outlook towards learning. Experience working in a SEND setting, particularly students with ASD and ADHD would be an advantage, as well as experience working in a PRU and an understanding of restorative practice.

You will develop activities and resources to meet the needs of students, consult with the school lead to set targets and report on progress and behaviours. Supporting student resilience, social, emotional, mental health and wellbeing is a key part of this role.

Flexibility is essential for this role as no two days are the same. You will be joining a committed team that wants to make a real difference in the lives of young people.
