This is a hybrid role with 3 days based at our client’s beautiful offices in Glasgow City Centre and 2 days from home

Working as part of a highly successful team, you will be part of the daily operation and supporting the smooth running of the cashiering team ensuring timely and accurate processing of all banking transactions, posting of professional costs, processing payments and reconciliation of firm and client bank accounts.


Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Performance of control checks to ensure SRA Compliance
  • Performance of end of day checks to ensure breaches do not arise
  • Training of all new and current less experienced staff
  • Liaise with the Cashier Supervisor to ensure all daily, weekly and monthly tasks have been performed to schedule
  • Monitor cashflow and advise treasury where necessary of any possible account balance issues
  • Assist and ensure all cashier tasks are performed timeously
  • Assist the Cashier Manager in upcoming projects
  • Liaise with the Cashier Manager on issues that arise
  • Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with our regulatory requirements and internal policies.


To be considered for this opportunity, we are looking for the following:

  • Strong background working within a similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of working within a legal firm or solicitors
  • SOLAS / ILFM qualified (desired, not essential)
  • Team player, able to prioritise tasks to reach deadlines, with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and flexible to work longer hours when required
  • Strong numeric, analytical and problem solving skills with keen attention to detail
  • Good MS Excel skills
  • Naturally positive and professional at all times
  • Flexible approach with the ability and professionalism to adapt to change
  • Demonstrate initiative
  • This role would suit someone who is hardworking and keen to progress longer term
