Legal Counsel for Technology and Data

We are collaborating with a prominent Alternative Legal Service Provider (ALSP) that is eager to connect with seasoned technology and data legal experts available for a temporary engagement with a distinguished global financial institution. Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in this field and be ready to commence work promptly.

As part of this esteemed financial institution, the selected legal professional can anticipate the following responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance on technology, data, and intellectual property issues across the EMEA region.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the technology division, offering insights on a diverse array of technology laws and compliance requirements, including sourcing, outsourcing, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, intellectual property, operational resilience, and emerging technologies.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements related to technology, market data, professional services, and general services, encompassing tech outsourcing, hardware and software acquisitions, SaaS agreements, and design and construction contracts.
  • Advise on legal and regulatory developments pertaining to technology, data, and outsourcing.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 5 years of pertinent post-qualification experience, preferably acquired within a large financial organization, technology firm, or reputable law practice.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in advising on a wide range of technology, data, intellectual property, and commercial contracts.
  • The capability to perform effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Outstanding time management abilities.
  • The capacity to work autonomously and make informed decisions, while also being an excellent collaborator.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish trust with senior stakeholders.

The successful candidate can expect to engage with a highly regarded global financial institution for an initial temporary assignment. The role will be conducted on a hybrid work model, requiring a commitment to spend a portion of the week on-site.
