Compliance Analyst - The internal compliance, risk and regulatory team of this highly respected leading law firm is looking for a compliance professional to join the department.

Ideally you will have a law degree and some knowledge of compliance procedures eg KYC (Know Your Client) procedures. Proven experience in a compliance environment preferably in a professional services company such as a law firm would be preferable. However, the team is also actively considering candidates with general admin experience who are looking to work in a compliance capacity.

Varied role in busy national team


This is a varied role within a busy national firm. The successful candidate must have a keen eye for detail and an analytical approach to their work. Whether they're helping with file reviews or dealing with complaints, candidates must also display the utmost professionalism.

Managing risk and compliance and monitoring behaviours and practices within the firm is a key part of the role. Being able to collect and analyse data is also crucial. Observing and extrapolating trends is vital, as is keeping up to speed with the latest regulatory developments so that the firm remains compliant.


Other aspects of the role


On occasion, members of the team are required to give training seminars and presentations to fee earners including key stakeholders. A compliance analyst must also be capable of identifying incidents or issues which may require escalation. The role requires excellent communication and presentation skills.


A critical skill set to acquire


Working in the compliance team of a major law firm will expose you to a range of compliance and regulatory issues. This is a skill set which is relevant to all manner of professional service companies and businesses and opens up a range of options in terms of career progression and development.
