About the Role


We seek a strong Account Director with relevant skills and experience who can hit the ground running.


You will have a passion for strategically developing growth opportunities within a client relationship, and delivering brilliant work for our clients.


Reporting to the Client Partner, you will have overall accountability for client relationship, growth and project delivery. You will work closely with Project Directors to structure support from Producers where projects require specialist skillset to facilitate effective delivery.


  • Role Responsibilities:
  • Identifying and securing business development opportunities
  • Working across multi-disciplined teams to prepare creative responses
  • Managing a high-profile portfolio of clients, developing the relationships and provider the senior point of contact within the agency
  • Efficiently overseeing all projects, sometimes alongside or with support from a Project Director, from start to finish, to high levels of client satisfaction and internal profitability
  • Proactively developing and leading organic growth plans across the client portfolio
  • To live the agency values and ethos, and inspire the same in your team
  • Leading the development of diverse, complex and integrated campaigns with the support of specialist Producers if required, to ensure successful delivery and very satisfied clients
  • Liaise and work closely with other agency Departments to support the client and/or project or campaign
  • Independently create, develop and manage budgets ranging between £750k - £1m with an understanding of our internal processes and practical impacts
  • Develop and deliver agreed client revenue targets and manage profitability
  • Lead a team of Account Managers/Executives, providing mentorship and support
  • Independently manage relationships (internally and externally) with stakeholders, creative teams and production suppliers, including freelance staff and negotiating costs where appropriate
  • Improving profitability, productivity and effectiveness across accounts, by efficient and effective use of clear processes and resources, sharing best practice and seeking to maximise client revenue
  • Be able to support and guide other team members through the account management process of a project or campaign
  • Negotiation of fees with clients
  • Requirements:
  • Around 6 years of experience within an agency environment, in Client Services roles
  • Credible leadership skills, capable of motivating teams and promoting the trust of our client
  • Highly motivated and passionate about brand and social impact
  • Excellent account leadership skills with financial and commercial acumen, creative judgement and the ability to think strategically
  • Client or stakeholder management experience within a client service organisation such as a full service marketing, experiential, PR agency or education services
  • Experience and skills in CSR / Education content/ PR / Experiential / Digital and New media would be an advantage
