The Opportunity

A leading consumer PR agency is seeking a Social & Digital Account Director to join their award-winning team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for social media, digital strategy, and influencer marketing.


The successful candidate will work with high-profile clients, including major sporting bodies, FMCG, food and drink brands, and well-known food chains. The role offers the chance to craft innovative social strategies, manage key accounts, and contribute to the agency's growth.


About the Candidate

The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced Account Director, though the agency is open to candidates slightly more junior or senior, with the role tailored accordingly. They should possess a deep understanding of social media and digital trends, alongside a proven track record of building and executing successful strategies across paid, organic and influencer.


Strong client management skills, the ability to present and sell ideas effectively, and experience in growing accounts are essential. A passion for pop culture and a keen awareness of current and emerging trends are also crucial.

The Role

The Social & Digital Account Director will lead influencer work and digital strategies across multiple accounts. The role involves managing existing clients while also supporting the agency's broader social and digital initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development: Design and implement comprehensive social media strategies across paid, organic, and influencer channels.
  • Content Management: Oversee the development and population of content calendars, ensuring alignment with client objectives and audience engagement.
  • Creative Collaboration: Manage content creation with a variety of creators, designers, photographers, and videographers.
  • Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring the successful delivery of social and digital projects.
  • Trend Analysis: Monitor and leverage pop culture trends and digital innovations to keep campaigns fresh and relevant.
  • Cross-Agency Consultation: Provide strategic social and digital insights across the agency, supporting teams and contributing to new business development.


Requirements

  • Experience as an Account Director, or as a Senior Account Manager ready to advance.
  • Proven ability to build and execute social media and influencer strategies.
  • Strong client management and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Leadership experience in guiding creative teams and external content creators.
  • In-depth understanding of pop culture and emerging digital trends.
  • Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to effectively sell ideas.
