About You

We are seeking an established Account Director or Senior Account Director, preferably with agency experience in a creative consumer public relations business. The ideal candidate is eager to help contribute meaningfully to the future of a growing agency and is comfortable with managing day-to-day account activities. This is a fast paced, consumer shop, so you should love managing busy press offices and creative campaign work simultaneously, ideally having come from an award winning agency previously. You should love getting hands-on with the work, thrive on autonomy, and have a proven track record in running, and growing accounts. Passion for media relations is essential.

The Role

In this role, you will oversee multiple accounts in a team that could work across sectors such as sport, lifestyle/travel/home, and food & beverage/FMCG. The exact clients and team will be chosen based on your experience and interests. Your responsibilities will include managing the day-to-day press office, leading campaigns, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality work. You will also play a key role in identifying, leading, and managing new business opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Press Office Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the press office, ensuring timely and effective media engagement.
  • Campaign Leadership: Lead the planning and execution of communications campaigns, driving creative ideas and strategies.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and ensuring satisfaction.
  • New Business Development: Contribute to new business pitches, identify opportunities for growth, and support the agency’s expansion efforts.


Requirements

  • Established Account Director or Senior Account Director, ready to take the next step.
  • Experience in running day-to-day press office operations and leading campaigns.
  • Proven track record in managing and growing accounts independently.
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and creative thinking.
  • Exceptional presentation skills and ability to sell ideas effectively.
  • Great team leadership skills, managing and getting the most out of juniors.
  • Experience in new business pitches and strategic planning.
  • Excellent instincts and sound strategic judgement.
