Job Title: Senior Sales and Events Manager-HotelLocation: London HotelSalary: 43-45k plus bonus and bens

To manage and direct all aspects of the Meeting & Events Sales department, ensuring the department meets and exceeds budget goals, maximizes conference and events revenue and profit, and adheres to operational standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Team Leadership and Motivation:

    • Motivate and focus the team on delivering customer service and achieving department & hotel objectives.
    • Ensure a sales-oriented mindset within the department, identifying and leveraging sales opportunities.
  2. Client and Event Management:

    • Coordinate meeting organizer or client show rounds to the hotel.
    • Maintain high-quality client information and needs, distributing them to relevant departments.
    • Ensure prompt and friendly handling of all enquiries, adhering to Accor standards.
  3. Sales and Revenue Strategy:

    • Set and communicate clear sales/revenue strategies for varying levels of demand.
    • Establish policies for optimizing meeting space in conjunction with F&B, Sales, and Revenue Management.
  4. Financial Management:

    • Ensure the team understands performance metrics vs. budget vs. forecast.
    • Set daily/weekly targets and communicate financial information to the team.
    • Monitor Top Producers, addressing any shortfalls or growth opportunities.
  5. Client Engagement:

    • Proactively contact existing clients for repeat business.
    • Participate in weekly/monthly revenue meetings, ensuring total revenue considerations.
    • Share revenue trends and forecasts to support revenue-maximizing actions.
  6. System and Process Management:

    • Maintain accurate data in new or existing systems, developing and monitoring SOPs.
    • Monitor competitor pricing and market dynamics, providing feedback to the Sales department.
  7. Sales Opportunities:

    • Maximize sales opportunities in line with the hotel's business plan.
    • Participate in client events and coordinate conference/promotional offers in line with hotel strategy.
  8. Staff Recruitment and Development:

    • Recruit, induct, and train employees to meet business needs.
    • Develop training plans for each team member and conduct special duties as required.
  9. Duty Management/Events Management and Planning:

    • Conduct Senior Duty Manager shifts, maximum once a month.
    • Manage all online MICE websites, ensuring accuracy and promotion alignment with Sales & Marketing Manager approval.
    • Put together comprehensive events sheets and meet and greet clients on the day
    • Collaborate with all departments including the kitchen to make sure the event runs to plan
    • Manage external supplier relationships
  10. Compliance and Standards:

    • Adhere to company dress code and appearance standards, ensuring team compliance.
