- Autologous and allogenic cell therapy.
Role Overview
Touchlight is currently seeking Sales Manager (Europe) to join our expanding commercial team, reporting directly to the Sales Director. This is an exciting role suited to a sales professional with experience in contract development and manufacturing or a related field such as gene therapy or nucleic acid therapeutics.
This position will play a critical role in expanding our global customer base as we grow our CDMO business. The successful candidate will ideally be located in the UK/IE area and is responsible for covering the European territory.
The principal responsibilities include:
- Increasing product sales to existing and potential customers in the territory.
- Manage leads from multiple sources to close opportunities and diversify the customer base in the region.
- Business development via prospecting activities and new customer acquisition and growth of share of wallet within the existing client base
- Build and manage a network of key contacts (from technical through to C-suite) at target companies within the territory.
- Key account mapping
- Travel when required (30-40% travel throughout Europe and up to 4 trips to the UK per year).
- Work with internal teams to develop and tailor customer specific work packages.
- Negotiate agreements and drive revenue to meet sales targets.
- Support conference preparation and attendance, including reviewing and prioritizing target lists and post event follow-up.
- Establish a rapport with clients and understand their needs and decision-making processes.
- Support customers through their journey to ensure excellence in customer service and repeat business.
- Maintain accurate customer data in CRM.
- Follow up on leads and opportunities in a timely fashion.
Skills and Experience:
- Track record of success in a relevant sales environment.
- Experience in the Pharma, Biotech or CDMO industry.
- Experience and understanding of one or more of the following: Ex-vivo and in-vivo cell and genetic medicine, DNA Services, Biologics, CDMO Business Development (or related) industry.
- Understanding of drug development.
- Proactive, with a positive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Team player that can work autonomously without day-to-day direction.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to influence both internally and externally.
