JOB PURPOSE


As the Relationship Manager/Head of Community for CWIEME, you will play a crucial role in maximizing the attendance and engagement between buyers and suppliers across our diverse event products, including Connect @ CWIEME. Leading the Community and Client Engagement Team, you will directly contribute to the success of our event by ensuring high attendance from in-demand individuals and by providing them with an exceptional experience. Your responsibilities include crafting and executing buyer acquisition and participation strategies and managing a detailed supplier onboarding plan to ensure seamless transitions from sale to engagement in our events. By overseeing engagement metrics across various stages tailored to each event, you will ensure robust participation from both suppliers and buyers. Quickly becoming a trusted market leader, you will leverage your deep industry understanding to build strong relationships and drive engagement. Your extensive product knowledge and execution expertise will be vital in achieving key acquisition and engagement metrics throughout the event lifecycle, from registration to onsite participation. Particularly looking for someone who focuses on trade connections and relationships for buyers in the electrical engineering industry.


ABOUT THE ROLE


  • Develop and manage the buyer acquisition plan, collaborating with the Head of Marketing and Digitization Director to identify biggest growth opportunities and set sector-specific targets aligned with overarching show goals.
  • Actively engage in the market to build relationships and drive engagement, establishing yourself as a trusted leader.
  • Lead weekly team meetings, reporting on community progress against agreed metrics.
  • Manage, train, and coach the Community Team, focused on acquiring and converting high quality engineers, procurement, and R&D professionals (buyers).
  • Develop key messaging for phone scripts, email copy, and social media channels.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in our registration platform, maintaining data integrity and completing administrative tasks to navigate buyers through event stages.
  • Analyse buyer registration data and provide routine and ad hoc updates to the team to drive wider sales and marketing efforts.
  • Coordinate critical event stages and ensure appropriate resourcing.
  • Work alongside the sales team to ensure exhibitors complete key event milestones.
  • Develop and deliver buyer and exhibitor support materials to aid completion of key event stages.
  • Track completion rates, flag risks, and implement contingency plans as needed.
  • Manage the buyer and exhibitor onsite experience, defining roles and responsibilities and delivering team briefings as required.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all buyer and exhibitor related queries from the team, ensuring team members provide confident and timely responses.
  • Collaborate with the Portfolio Director and Digitization Director on the development of our product based on identified audience needs.
