The Pem restaurant is named after Emily Wilding Davidson who was a prominent suffragette. Pem was her families affectionate name for her and were proud to dedicate The Pem to strong women leading from the front.

Were based in the heart of Westminster where so much of British history has unfolded, of which female figures have played an integral role. Today, were pushing forward, championing the career progression of women in hospitality.

In partnership Chef Sally Abé, one of the Londons most celebrated and awarded young chefs, were delighted to serve the food that Sally has always wanted to cook. Weve quickly built a strong reputation for elegant flavours using seasonal-led ingredients, locally produced. Since opening just a year ago, weve won an array of awards including One to Watch at the National Restaurant Awards 2021. As consultant chef at the Pem, Sally has been named Ayalas Female Chef of the Year and as one of Codes100 Most Influential Women in Hospitality.

Our restaurants beautiful design includes a private dining room with an impressive wine wall, its truly a Sommeliers dream. Were very passionate about our pours, choosing wines from independent growers, iconic houses and everything in between. The list showcases wines from all over the world, always with our ethos at heart to delight guests with what is in their glass.

The Role as aRestaurant Host/hostess

  • Welcome guests in a polite and friendly manner
  • Coordinate seating for customers
  • Up-sell with latest departmental incentives
  • Manage table set-ups
  • Able to work in all areas of Food and Beverage including Bar, Restaurant, Room Service and Conference and Events
  • Follow cash handling procedures
  • Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure compliance of brand standards
  • Strive to achieve departmental targets
  • Ensure cleanliness of work areas
