We are currently seeking to appoint a Regional HR Officer on a Full-time, fixed term contract. Contract length will run till June 2025.
Role Overview:
The Regional HR Officer is responsible for managing all aspects of human resources within their designated region. This includes overseeing the entire employee lifecycle, managing HR processes, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and providing support and guidance to management and employees on HR-related matters. Additionally, the role involves maintaining accurate records, managing HR systems, payroll administration and contributing to the resolution of employee relations issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Management:
- Manage all aspects of HR within the designated region.
- Oversee the entire employee lifecycle from recruitment to off boarding.
- Oversee the preparation and management of all staff contracts
- Review and prepare job descriptions, and HR forms.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies and employment law regulations.
- Employee Relations:
- Provide advice and support to management on people-related queries.
- Manage employee relations issues effectively and efficiently.
- To conduct thorough and fair investigations, providing recommendations for resolution
- Facilitate employee complaints, disputes, disciplinaries, grievances, conflict resolution, and mediation.
- In collaboration with external legal advisers and management to implement corrective actions and preventative measures.
- To foster positive employee relations through regular meetings and initiatives.
- Training and Development:
- Support the training and development of management in formal HR matters to include guidance on legal requirements and best practices related to employee relations
- Assist and support management in the absence management and performance management processes.
- Payroll and Compliance:
- Liaise with the payroll team regarding staff salaries, invoices, and payments.
- Produce the monthly payroll return for the designated region
- Manage all HR online files, ensuring compliance with UKVI requirements.
- Maintain accurate data on staff immigration status.
- Onboarding and Induction:
- Oversee the induction and onboarding process for all new starters.
- Coordinate staff probation reviews/annual appraisals and provide support when required to the Learning and Development function
- Oversee the collation of paperwork and review evidence of right to work status
Reporting:
· To prepare reports for management on HR related data
- HRIS Management:
- Oversee the HRIS system, ensuring accurate data uploads and maintenance of staff records
- Legal Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Work in liaison with internal and external legal advisers on employee relations matters.
- Meeting Participation:
- Participate in management and external body meetings relating to staff and HR matters.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Undertake any other tasks and responsibilities as required to support the HR function and organisation.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
- Proven experience in HRM, preferably in a regional or multi-site capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
- CIPD certification or equivalent is desirable.
- Ability to travel to regional sites on a regular basis
