This important role forms part of the Change team management structure working closely with peers to provide leadership and contribute to the successful delivery of the change portfolio. This role uses analytical expertise to provide line management, thought leadership, mentoring and guidance to a team of business analysts both with direct reports and within the business analysis community.

A key responsibility of the role is to partner the business to lead the analysis and shaping of new ideas and initiatives, working as a trusted adviser to help senior stakeholders develop opportunities into change projects. Defining and leading requirements delivery on projects and programmes and producing valuable analysis artefacts is a critical accountability of this role.

We are looking for people passionate about analysis that will be an ambassador for the Change team, leading by example, driving capability improvement, and working collaboratively to drive the continuous improvement of the business analysis practice.

About the Role

Level: Level 5

Department: Quilter Change

Location: Southampton or London

Contract type: Permanent

This role will perform line management of business analysts, providing coaching and mentoring, advising on career paths and encouraging proactive development of skills and capabilities.

You will set performance targets and monitor progress against agreed quality and competency criteria, instigating performance management processes if required. You will champion and encourage engagement within the business analyst community of practice, focusing on sharing knowledge, ideas and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

With an understanding of the company strategy, you will partner with an area of the business, understanding their drivers, challenges, and opportunities to help responsible stakeholders shape initiatives into beneficial change projects through the delivery of options papers, feasibility studies and supporting the preparation of business cases.

At the outset of a change project, you will lead the change impact assessment covering the customer journey, our end-to-end advice process, and the organisational operating model to help establish the scope, approach and delivery required to achieve the business case outcomes.

Working with project managers and business stakeholders you will select the most appropriate means of representing business requirements in the context of a specific change initiative and be responsible for the delivery of business requirements. Involving requirements scoping, estimating analysis effort and performing requirements elicitation, documentation and process analysis/design as appropriate.

Alongside allocating, overseeing and quality reviewing the work of other business analysts. Working collaboratively with the programme/project manager you will support them with scoping & planning, risk management, delivery assurance and issue resolution.

Throughout project/programme delivery you will be focused on business outcomes, ensuring that analysis work packages are aligned to expected benefits with full traceability and managing the impact assessment of requested changes, challenging any deviations that impact the business case outcomes.

You will support the Head of Change Practices with the refinement and continuous improvement of business analysis artefacts, models, and standards. Advocating use and promoting the value of business analysis services across the organisation.

Ideally you will possess superior stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence, negotiate and manage conflicts. As well as strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

You will be a role model for the behaviours that are critical to the successful delivery of Quilter's Change objectives. These include being pro-active, delivery orientated, focused on good customer outcomes, risk conscious and encouraging inclusivity and diversity.
