This pivotal and exciting role forms part of the Quilter Change Leadership Team (LT) working closely with peers to ensure a high level of collaboration and accountability. Reporting to the Head of Change with oversight of a portfolio of programmes and projects and associated business change activities for large scale, transformational and / or complex business and IT change programmes across a subset of Quilter Portfolios. As a result, you will work with a variety of stakeholders up to and including Quilter Exco, to drive decision making and maintain delivery momentum in a growing, fast paced environment.
All candidates who have an extensive Change background and are comfortable managing and leading teams both as a direct line manager and in a matrix management organisation are welcome to apply.
This role will demonstrate success by helping to ensure Change can be relied upon to be Quilter's primary engine for the delivery of business and technology change, through the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of change within agreed time / cost / scope and benefit parameters.

The Head of Portfolio Delivery will lead the portfolio planning, delivery and transition of Business Change and / or IT Change within the function. The role is responsible for Change delivery and ensuring project and programme management practices aligns to Quilter policies and industry accepted best practices.
Through Planning and Governance this role will lead the Change delivery Portfolio plans within the defined business unit / function utilising best practices to ensure appropriate services and solutions are proposed, planned, resourced, governed, and delivered in alignment with the defined Portfolio requirements. This includes the identification of opportunities where external support may be beneficial to Quilter to maximise Change outcomes or mitigate risk.
You will contribute to the Communities of Practice (BA, PM and PMO) to help shape improved or new ways of working. This relates to ensuring Change and programme delivery are aligned to and delivered in accordance with Quilter policies and standards and Community of Practice guidelines.
This role will directly line manage Programme and Project Manager roles and a key accountability will be prioritising and managing capacity of the Programme Delivery teams and source services to balance demand and efficiency and ensure the effective delivery of Change and Services. For virtual team (dotted line) members you will provide feedback to relevant line managers.
You will work with a wide variety of stakeholders, including Quilter ExCo members and their teams, leading the analysis and scoping of initiatives and solutions within your defined Change Portfolio. Based on the scoping outputs this role will support business teams in the planning, mobilisation, and delivery of initiatives within your defined Portfolio.
Working across the Portfolio delivery team this role will also ensure that the drivers for successful delivery of outcomes and interdependencies with other initiatives are both identified and actively managed.
You will ensure appropriate measures for tracking, risk management and mitigation are in place across and within initiatives. Working with functional / business unit executives and the Head of Change as well as the Change Director this role will escalate and resolve obstacles to successful delivery and achievement of transformation objectives.
You can expect regular requests to support the effective reporting of progress to the relevant functional / business executives, the Head of Change, Change Director, Quilter ExCo and Quilter Board members. The expectation is this role can quickly pull together and present the information pitching it at the right level for each audience to aid decision making.
In addition, this role has a significant Service Improvement and Change Delivery focus whereby it leads Change programmes within the defined business unit / function working in partnership with key stakeholders to ensure delivery in line with agreed metrics, milestones, priorities, standards, and budget.
You will drive delivery through defining programme organisation structures, resourcing models and plans. A key deliverable will be the Portfolio having defined deliverables, milestones, documented interdependencies, proactive risk management and reporting, and that relationships with stakeholders are managed to resolve issues and develop solutions that meet Quilter's objectives.
You will also have oversight for programme and project budgets, risks and issues. You will ensure that they are impact-assessed, mitigated and escalated where appropriate. In addition, you will monitor programme performance, progress against milestones, ensure an appropriate quality of work, and where necessary take corrective action.
A key focus is developing, and coaching resources assigned to your portfolio and providing input into performance reviews and support to expand their capabilities and skillsets.
Through working with the PMO you will ensure appropriate process and governance is applied to projects on a case-by-case basis with the aim of pragmatism and moving away from a one size fits all governance.
