Business Development Manager / Field Sales Exec
We have an opportunity for a Business Development Manager/ Field Sales Exec to join a family-owned waste management client based in Bristol. This is a full time, permanent opportunity which would suit someone who is target driven and enjoys bringing in newbusiness or would feel very confident and driven to do so
The role is solely business development with no account managing, so this is perfect for any Business Development Executive that enjoys the pure selling aspects. This is a hybrid position with the majority of time spent in the field generating new clients.You will also be based in the office in the when you aren't out in the field.
This family-owned business has excellent benefits, including £30,660 salary with uncapped commission (realistic OTE £38,760 in fist year) and fully paid for expenses including a company car, phone, laptop etc.). you'll get 25 days holiday as well as bank holidays.
The role:
- You'll be generating new business within a KPI and target driven environment
- Selling to commercial businesses out on the road
- Cold calling and knocking on business doors within all industries from takeaways to colleges to professional offices
- Providing excellent customer service to potential clients
- To research and identify potential customers to promote the services of the waste collection team
- Understand operational schedules, requirements and constraints
- To work closely with the Commercial team to gain maximum advantage in the market for the full range of services offered by the Company
- To prepare weekly sales reports as instructed by the Sales Manager
- To monitor and record competitors' services and pricing structures
- To build and maintain good relationships with customers and colleagues and uphold and promote the Company's image in all dealings and transactions
- General admin and compliance
- Experience within this industry is desirable but not essential, as the drive and passion for sales are more important
- Experience working with clients within various industries as you'll need to tailor your approach with each client
- Professional understanding and success in cold calling and sale closing
- Excellent communication skills and organisation
