We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in **Rotherham **to assist with the appointment of a **Temporary Town Hall Officer/Facilities Administrator**, on a **3 month contract**, likely to be extended at clients discretion.

**Summary**

The post holder will provide assistance with the operation and supervision of Rotherham Town Hall by carrying out a key holder role to ensure security and health and safety of the building at all times and to serve all customers visiting the Town Hall enforcing controlled entry procedures. The post holder may also work with the Mayor of Rotherham as a driver to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of the Mayor as required in order that they can undertake their civic duties when visiting events to which they have been invited.

**Key Duties/Areas of Responsibility**
- To undertake reception duties and maintain high standards of customer service at Rotherham Town Hall.
- To assist with health and safety procedures and systems in Rotherham Town Hall, being responsible for premises security including operation of the fire and burglar alarm systems, enforcing controlled entry procedures and evacuation of the building in an emergency if required and carrying out a key holder role.
- To prepare and provide tea, coffee and water refreshments where required or ordered for meetings held in Rotherham Town Hall and to maintain and undertake daily checks of health, safety, and cleanliness in the kitchen area of the Town Hall to meet the required statutory standards and in accordance with the Authority’s Health and Safety policies.
- To prepare and clear meeting rooms as required, including preparation of webcasting equipment, porterage duties, as necessary, and the setting up of presentational aids.
- To drive and ensure the safe and efficient transportation of the Mayor as required in order that they can undertake their civic duties when visiting events to which they have been invited.

- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
- To participate where required, in providing service delivery outside core operating hours. Flexible working hours include evenings and weekends and occasional need to provide rota cover.
- Criminal records check at the Basic level (unspent convictions only) is required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: £11.00-£14.00 per hour
