**POSITION**: Residential Support Worker (Residential Children’s Home)

**LOCATION**: Northampton
**SALARY**:£30,160 to £32,240 per annum (including Sleeps)
**HOURS**: 40 Hours per week + 2 Sleeps per week
**START DATE**: ASAP
**Residential Childcare Worker Duties and Responsibilities include**:
- Work shifts according to the rota
- Attend and contribute to the professional supervision process and reflect on practice
- Record and write up relevant care documents to the required standard
- Be a role model to children and young people
- Follow company policy in practice
- Demonstrate a flexible approach to provide the best possible care to young people
- Report and record all safeguarding concerns
**General duties**
- Using key-work sessions effectively
- Obtain the views of young people
- Spending time with the young people
- Write up day to day care, incidents, progress toward goals and other key documents
- Cooking healthy and nutritious meals
- Maintain a clean, homely environment
- Updating monitoring systems as directed
- Follow due safeguarding process and reporting
- Support young people in their education
- Support young people in their recreation
- Ensure the system for petty cash is followed diligently
- Talk to parents and social workers about any relevant issues
- Accompany young people to any identified appointments

**Qualifications & Knowledge**:
- QCF level 3 in Health and Social Care children and young people or equivalent
- Working knowledge of caring for vulnerable children in a residential setting
- Knowledge of equal opportunities & diversity
- Knowledge of The Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 & Guide to the Children’s Homes Regulations including the Quality Standards
**Salary**: £30,160.00-£32,240.00 per year
