Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary HR Adviser to work in Norwich, Norfolk. This position is initially for a period of 3 months and is paying from £200.00 - £250.00 per day (paid to you via an umbrella company).

**The role**:
Provide a comprehensive, HR advice and consultancy service across Strategy, Reward and Employee Relations.

Strategy - research and drafting of policies and employment contracts. Developing recommendations to keep the Council's policy framework and practice in line with legal and best practice standards. Analyse potential implications and advise on scope and priorityfor action to review and revise policies and processes.

Employee Relations - Support managers with high quality, risk assessed and effective solutions that address people management issues and contribute to the achievement of successful service delivery.

Reward - Provide interpretation and guidance on the Council's Reward policies. Operate systems to audit and monitor compliance against policies and agreed standards. Undertake job evaluations, liaising with operational managers to develop effective organisationalstructures.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Manage and deliver a varied caseload of HR consultancy (including performance, absence management, safeguarding and disciplinary cases) across all service areas, advising, guiding, coaching and supporting managers to deal with HR issues within Council policiesand procedures and employment law to achieve an appropriate outcome.

Researching policy and procedure options, selecting best practice examples most appropriate to NCC work, and adapting them to be consistent with NCC HR policy framework and attuned to NCC service improvement agenda. This requires using judgement, knowledgeof legal context and experience of NCC context.

Drafting standard documents to be legally robust.

Advising HR colleagues on correct interpretation of ER-related policies.

Carry out consultation and negotiation with trade union representatives on policy and practice changes, so that change can be introduced without undue delay or avoidable challenge as is informed by the union perspective.

Lead significant projects affecting any or all categories of NCC employees, to achieve step changes in the Council's management of workforce resources, so supporting the agenda of achieving business transformation.

**Applicant Requirements**:

- **Qualifications**:CIPD qualified/or working towards with appropriate experience in HR.
- **Experience**:Experience in an HR administrative /support role where a significant component of the role is in the provision of advice and guidance demonstrating the ability to identify risks to the organisation and the satisfactory resolutionof people management issues.
- **Compliance**:Proof of right to work in the UK and 2 x references.
- **Travel**:Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
- **Hours**:37.5 hours p/w.
