The Social Media Intern will join our team on a part-time, flexible internship—a fantastic opportunity for a student studying marketing, media, or business to gain hands-on experience and contribute to our digital growth. This role provides valuable insight into digital marketing and social media management, making it ideal for a student passionate about social media who wants to learn in a supportive, professional environment. **CONTRACT BASIS**:
**Hours per week**:Between 8-16 hours

**Fixed term contract**:6 Months - possibility to extend dependant on business needs.

**Pay**:£12.50 per hour

**JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- **Social Media Content Creation**: Assist in creating engaging social media posts (graphics, captions, etc.) for platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Reddit.
- **Scheduling & Posting**: Manage social media content calendars, schedule posts using tools such as Meta, Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar platforms.
- **Social Media Monitoring**: Monitor and engage with online communities (responding to comments, messages, etc.) and track audience feedback.
- **Analytics Reporting**: Help track and analyse the performance of social media campaigns using analytics tools and provide insights to improve engagement.
- **Collaborative Projects**: Work closely with the marketing team in brainstorming new content ideas, campaigns, and social media strategies.
- **Research Trends**: Stay up to date with the latest trends in social media and digital marketing to help keep the brand’s content relevant and fresh.

**JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS**:

- Must be 18+ years of age due to legal requirements of working in the medical cannabis industry.
- Currently studying Marketing, Media, Business, or a related field.
- Strong interest in social media marketing and digital trends.
- Basic understanding of social media platforms, how each vary and what works best for maximising engagement across each platform (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit, Twitter, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, Canva.
- Creative and proactive with an eye for detail and a finger on the pulse of new social trends.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.
