**We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Apprentice to join our team at Denton Village Surgery.**

A small, friendly practice situated in rural South Northants, between Northampton and Bedford but also within easy travelling distance of Milton Keynes and Wellingborough.

Working as part of our busy Reception/Admin team, duties include:

- Greet and book in patients and visitors to the practice
- Answer the telephone, ensuring all details are accurately recorded
- Booking, amending or cancelling patient appointments
- Liaise with the team to assist in administration
- Participate in practice meetings
- Ensuring data entry is accurate using the in-house system
- Become more involved in clinical administration as your role develops
- Dealing with requests or messages for the doctors and nurses
- Signposting patients to appropriate services
- Maintaining patient confidentiality
- Any other general admin duties as required.

Due to the location of the surgery, having a reliable source of transport is essential. Free parking is available.

**Hours**:
Full-time - 35 hours per week

**Suitable apprentices will be able to work flexibly between the hours of 07:30 and 18:30 Monday to Friday**.

**Sample hours**:
Month one - 07:30-14:30 Monday to Friday (each inclusive of a 30 minute paid break)

Month two - 11:30-18:30 Monday to Friday (each inclusive of a 30 minute paid break).

5 weeks Annual Leave per year plus Bank Holidays

Generous NHS Pension Scheme

£6.00 per hour Apprenticeship, plus NVQ L2 qualification.
