**About the Role**

STAR Procurement has a vacancy within the team to enable us to build on our success and bring new talent into the team. As a Trainee Procurement and Business Support Officer you will provide support and assistance to the STAR Procurement team in the provision of procurement advice and support to client departments and partner organisations as well as administration support across STAR and supporting the Business Improvement function.

**About you**

You will require the following skills, experience and knowledge:

- GCSE Grades A-C in English and Maths OR Possession of a CIPS Certificate OR Advanced Certificate in procurement and supply operations OR level 2 NVQ
- One year’s experience in a business environment
- Experience of spreadsheets and word processing
- Experience of managing workloads and meeting deadlines
- Good working knowledge of Word and Excel
- Basic understanding of business and commercial contexts
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both in writing and face to face
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to demonstrate good numerical skills
- Ability to adhere to established procedures
- Ability to work as part of a team
