The Directorate for Strategic Planning and Student Administration is at the forefront of supporting and enhancing the student journey through the University. Its primary focus is to work with Faculties to support growth, innovation and development. The Student Administration function within the Directorate is responsible for the administration of a wide range of functions including student record maintainence, student finance, assessment boards, student results, extenuating circumstances, Postgraduate Research, certification, student prizes and Student Voice Forums.
The Directorate has a vacancy for a Senior Student Administration Officer. This role will report to one of the Student Administration Support Managers. The Senior Student Administration Officer will support activities across Student Administration and the Directorate as a whole.
This role will support the Student Administration Support Managers in the delivery of excellent administrative service to students and staff and in ensuring effective student processes across all areas (from enrolment to graduation). The Senior Student Administration Officer will be responsible taking a lead on developing new processes, informed by staff and student feedback, which take into account the changing university landscape. The post-holder will be expected to work across all areas, often with mínimal supervision. Particular specialisms will be developed according to skills, priorities and direction from the Student Administration Support Managers but without dependencies on single posts becoming developed.
The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post.
