Main purpose and scope:
Due to our continued growth and success, DSL are looking for a new member of our sales department to help play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. This role will encompass all aspects of Salesactivity and provide the platform and scope for continued success. Full training will be provided to ensure you have every tool at your disposal to be successful.
Once fully trained, you will be responsible for your own accounts which you will manage, grow and be responsible for.
Position: Junior Account Manager
Contracted hours: 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
Reports to: Thomas Scott (Sales Manager)
Main duties and key responsibilities:
- Research accounts who have enquired previously about DSL products, identify key decision makers and generate interest.
- Ask probing questions to identify if an existing prospect account is worthy of continuing to nurture.
- Build strong personal relationships with key decision makers, from ground level engineers to managers and director level.
- Work with the sales department to drive improvement in overall lead generation and conversion processes.
- Work with the sales department and external marketing companies on new and existing marketing campaigns and activities.
- Join DSL on a number of exhibitions throughout the year across the country.
- Keep CRM system up to date with customer communications

Future duties and key responsibilities:
- Manage a selection of client accounts, operating as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your accounts.
- Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships
- Overseeing customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximize profit
- Understand customer needs and requirements
- Research accounts, identify key decision makers and generate interest
- Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory
- Managing and interpreting customer requirements.
- Travelling to visit potential and existing clients
- Persuading clients that a product or service will best satisfy their needs.
- Calculating and submitting client quotations.
- Offering pre and post-sale first line technical support
- Produce and maintain a sales forecast
- Maximise profitability through driving increased profit margins
- Minimise risk by carefully considering client credit risk and understanding commercial aspects.
- Recording and maintaining accurate client contact data.
- Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts internally.
- Solving client problems.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of DSL's products and USPs
- Keep CRM system up to date with customer communications
