Senior HR Officer (Systems and Data) - Poole - up to £35,000
A Senior HR Officer is required for our client based in Poole to join the HR division.
The main purpose of the role is to deliver improvements and maintain the HR systems and data, providing advice and support. To be the key contact for other systems utilised by the HR division liaising effectively with all stakeholders, along with other data requirements internally and externally.
Main responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact for freedom of information requests, salary surveys and other data requirements required either internally or externally.
- Deliver improvements to the HR systems working with a range of colleagues and stakeholders, providing advice and support to users using HR and IT knowledge to ensure system design needs meets stakeholder needs.
- Carry out HR System administrative activities including, upgrades, maintenance, testing, data cleansing, audits and configuration.
- Retain oversight of the HR Systems data input and output activities maintaining data integrity and identifying any data issues or risks.
- Ensure the HR systems are compliant with data management legislation such as Data Protection and GDPR.
- Develop and maintain HR Reports in liaison with Information Services and provide management information and data insights.
- Be the technical expert and key contact for the HR systems providing support and coaching to staff and liaising effectively with the University’s Information Services and Digital Services departments, as well as external stakeholders, as required.
- Submit and oversee the submission of the annual staff HESA return on behalf of the University in a timely fashion presenting an accurate reflection of the University position within the statutory constraints.
- Modernise and create HR forms with electronic signatures
- Attend external meetings and liaise with external contacts to represent and contribute to collaborative ventures.
- Liaise with the wider University as required to support and represent the activities of the team or, more broadly, of the directorate/department.
- Advise on the determination of guides & procedures, including researching and drafting of these.
- Produce professional HR reports, analysis and recommendations as may be required, aligned to University strategy.
- Take delegated responsibility for projects, through the early planning stages to implementation, proactively identifying and resolving problems that may arise, in order to achieve desired outcomes.
- Oversee security and accessibility of data within the HR area.
- Maintain project files, information and documentation, ensuring they are updated as required.
- Take delegated responsibility for managing HR project budgets as may be required.
- Lead project groups or contribute to cross-University project groups, to support the achievement of project objectives.
Key Skills
- CIPD Level 5
- Experience of working in a specialist HR area eg. Systems and Data
- Working knowledge of delivering projects and producing reports within deadlines
- HR Systems, reports and data management
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Specialist and technical skills required such as, Resourcelink
