TSP Engineering operate from one of the largest workshops in the UK, holding a floor capacity of 20,000m2, two five-metre deep manufacturing pits and a lifting capacity of 130 tonnes. These facilities give us the capabilities to handle some of the biggestengineering and steel fabrication projects in the UK and beyond.

**Role Overview**:
To solicit and then manage the response to third party tenders by liaising

with internal managers from relevant business units, and a range of

departments and disciplines including Safety, Personnel, Estimating and

Planning, Finance and Quality Assurance.
- To liaise with the customer from enquiry receipt through to proposal

submission, and subsequent negotiations.
- To make appropriate visit to the customer’s premises, including other

premises and locations that are pertinent to the creation of a successful
- To liaise with the Proposals Coordinator ensuring that all responses to

information requests contained within the tender documentation comply

with internal policies and work practices.
- To evaluate external enquiries in terms of market demand and trends and

take consideration of all risks contained within the customer enquiry and

highlight areas for immediate consideration.
- To liaise with the Commercial Manager during the proposal process,

supporting Senior Management’s information requirements and the

development of commercial, financial and technical risk assessment models.
- To liaise with the Commercial and Finance functions during and after the

proposal process, supporting information requirements pertaining to the

development of a pricing model.
- To convene proposal review meetings on an as needs basis and present

progress on the proposal to date.
- To convene the final review meeting and present the final proposal and the

necessary decision-making support documentation.
- To interpret information from a variety of sources, including customers,

competitive activity, business press etc. to assess market trends that will

facilitate the development of a comprehensive market intelligence database.

To contribute to the development of commercial processes that facilitate

rapid and professional response to customer enquiries.
- To build a database of relevant data including the use of historical data and

information on the market that supports the Senior Management decision

making process.
- Ensure a high discipline standard is maintained throughout the department,

by ensuing that effective time keeping and attendance is maintained, policy

processes and business standards are followed and that accountability of all

team members are known.
- Other duties as assigned.

Engineering Degree or Equivalent Practical Experience

Demonstrable experience in sales

Project management awareness

Sound practical knowledge of developing engineering proposals

and contracts

**Desirable**

Experience & Knowledge of Budgets and financial controls

Membership Member of Relevant Professional Institute
