Commercial Executive
Unity Personnel are working with a company based in Normanton. They supply a range of fresh, chilled and frozen products to a well-known supermarket brand, and working with the stores Trading Teams, manage a number of Categories including Cooked Meats, Bacon,Slow Cooked, Frozen Poultry and Party Food, alongside others.
My client has a small Commercial Team which takes charge of developing these Categories, with each Category being led by a Commercial Manager.
About the role:
The Commercial Executive will report to the Chilled Commercial Manager, and will be an integral part of the team managing the day to day operations and the future development of the Cooked Meats Category, and will have an understanding of both the consumerand trading needs of the category. You will also be expected to support other commercial managers in other categories as the need arises. The Commercial Executive will have the following responsibilities:

- Support the Commercial and Supply team on Forecasting
- Work with the Commercial Managers to review product costings and purchasing contracts
- Organise Commercial Meetings for the Team
- Represent Commercial Team in Cross functional meetings
- Work closely across the commercial Triangle - Sales / NPD / Category
- Take ownership of the merchandising detail of the Cooked Meats range, both current range and any upcoming new products, and will be responsible for new line forms, and internal range documentation
- Support the team with merchandising plans, particularly to help with future development
- Through regular store visits, be up to date with relevant market intelligence such as competitor ranges, merchandising layouts and pricing.
- Working with the Commercial Manager, and the Commercial Accountants, take part in promotional analysis and make recommendations for future promotional strategies
- Sign off of new packaging and changes to existing packaging
Skills required:

- Good communicator across a variety of business functions
- Attention to detail
- Basic Excel knowledge (eg able to create VLOOKUPs and Pivot tables)
- Being well organised
- Willing to be a team player and support the team wherever necessary
- Willing to take ownership of a task and see it through to the end
- Must have driving licence and access to own car
