1st Line Customer Support

Training will be provided for you to get familiar with the products and to gain a better understanding of VAT (how it works). We are a fast-growing entity of Avalara so busy, busy but always try to make it fun, fun.
Job Duties
- Handle inbound support requests from internal/external customers via our ticketing system
- Gain and demonstrate a deep technical understanding of our products including how to implement, upgrade and thoroughly troubleshoot all issues.
- Collaborate with product development regarding customer escalations and product issues
- Create FAQ's for our knowledgebase and microsite
- Thinking outside of the box for areas of improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience
- Previous Experience with ticketing systems (Remedy, Salesforce as an example)
- Experience supporting Client-Server Applications within enterprise data centers
- High aptitude in learning new software
- Solid problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Practical experience with Windows Server, SQL Server(T-SQL), Web services, etc
- Knowledge of Citrix and other hosting environments
- Experience cultivating positive relationships, working directly with customers to resolve complex software issues
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- A great team player but able to work independently
- GCSE' qualification of a high standard for English and Math's
- Specific qualifications first (e.g. specific technologies, languages, etc)
Preferred Qualifications- Ability to understand, debug, customize, configure, and resolve issues within.NET and SQL Server environments in complex, enterprise network environments
- Comfort with using REST & SOAP-based APIs
