Centaur Manufacturing produce uPVC extrusions and mouldings for the electrical industry. Based in Redditch we operate a 24 hours per day production facility. Centaur are now seeking a manufacturing planner to work within all sections of the business.

You’ll need
- Maths and English GCSE at Grade 5 or above or NVQ Level 2 or previous experience in a factory or office environment or in a leadership based role.
- Enthusiasm to learn.
- Able to work alongside production and as part of team.
- Comprehensive knowledge of operating computers and Microsoft Office.
- Engineering knowledge is desired but not essential.

The role

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to commence a career in a commercial and production factory environment. Core job responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

- Production planning of plastic extrusion, injection moulding, assembly, fabrication and compound plant departments
- Organising shift patterns, holiday cover and conduction return to work interviews
- Working with suppliers to maintain adequate levels of raw materials, production consumables and sub components including raising purchase orders
- Maintain factory training matrixes and compliancy to regulations such as packaging and waste
- Ensure a reasonable level of cleanliness and housekeeping in line with the company health and safety policies
- Ensure efficient stock control procedures are adhered to

You would be expected to work safely to protect yourself and the others around you ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and safe working practices at all times.

Skills required

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with good written and verbal communication at all levels, with a goal to succeed. Working hours will be 8am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.
