**Production Planner, Redditch, £26k+ (Salary Negotiable)**

This highly regarded Manufacturer now has an opening for an experienced and detail-oriented Production Planner to join their team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will be responsible for efficiently planning and coordinating of all production activities while ensuring optimal utilization of resources, on-time delivery. This is a very important role to the business.

**Responsibilities: -**

*Develop and maintain production schedules and prioritize workload based on customer requirements, production capacity, and material availability.

*Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, manufacturing engineering, purchasing, and quality assurance to ensure smooth operations and meet performance goals.

*Monitor daily production activities, analyse production data, and identify areas for improvement in order to drive efficiency and productivity.

*Coordinate with material planners to ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and finished goods, taking into consideration lead times, safety stock, and production demand.

*Review and adjust production schedules as necessary to accommodate unforeseen events such as equipment breakdowns, material shortages, or changing customer demand.

*Prepare and analyse various reports related to production performance, including production costs, inventory levels, and labour utilization.

*Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process bottlenecks, recommending, and implementing solutions, and driving operational excellence.

**Requirements: -**

*Proven experience as a Production Planner in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably within an Engineering / Manufacturing Company.

*Understanding of planning a CNC machine shop environment

*Thorough understanding of production planning principles, lean manufacturing, and capacity planning.

*Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.

*Proficient in using production planning software, excel (advanced) and ERP systems.

*Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in meeting tight deadlines and managing changing priorities.

*Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

*Keen attention to detail and a systematic approach to problem-solving.

*Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to unexpected changes in production requirements.
