Role Overview

As a Material Planner, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials through the production process. You’ll be responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating material requirements to meet production targets, customer delivery dates and inventory objectives. This role is critical to maintaining operational efficiency and supporting our commitment to on-time delivery and quality.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain material plans based on MRP outputs, customer demand and production schedules

* Ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies to support manufacturing

* Monitor inventory levels, identify shortages or excesses and take corrective actions

* Collaborate with procurement, production, quality, and logistics teams to resolve material issues

* Maintain accurate planning parameters (lead times, safety stock, MOQ) in ERP systems

* Support new product introductions and engineering changes by aligning material availability

* Generate and analyse reports on material usage, forecast accuracy and supplier performance

* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy and supply chain agility

Skills & Experience

* Proven experience in material planning, production planning, or supply chain coordination within a manufacturing environment (aerospace or automotive preferred)

* Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

* Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

* Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools

* Knowledge of lean manufacturing and inventory management principles is advantageous
