Apprenticeships Administration Coordinator

**Department**:
The Apprenticeships Unit is part of Student Administration and Academic Affairs in the Student & Academic Services (S&AS) Directorate. The S&AS Directorate also includes Student Careers and Systems; Library, Archives and Learning Services; Online Partnerships; and Student Life and Wellbeing.
Collectively the Directorate contributes to the experience and success of students and staff by:
- providing the support that students and staff need to deal with aspects of student life that can enhance learning and capability;
- promoting and facilitating students’ personal development and career planning;
- contributing to the assurance of academic standards and the quality of teaching and learning; and
- providing the administrative underpinning for the student life cycle.
The Apprenticeships Unit has oversight for the delivery and management of apprenticeship programmes at the University of York, working in collaboration with Academic and Professional Services Departments.
**Role**:
To coordinate activities to support the set up and ongoing support of employers and apprentices, in line with the systems and processes required for Ofsted and ESFA compliance. The role holder will work with professional services teams and academic departments to coordinate operational and administrative activities for apprenticeship programmes from admissions through to award and progression. The Apprenticeships Administration Coordinator will work as part of a team to ensure that we are meeting the compliance requirements for apprenticeship provision through our administrative processes.
This is an exciting point to be joining the team, as we are expanding our apprenticeship provision at York, and introducing new programmes across different academic departments.
**Skills, Experience & Qualification needed**:
- Level 3 qualification
- Experience of coordinating compliance based administrative tasks in line with internal or external requirements
- Experience of coordinating the accurate inputting, review and reporting of compliance data for internal and external requirements, including financial reconciliation and learner management systems
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A good team player who collaborates well with others
