Our client is a long established and successful Accountancy practice who are forward thinking and offer a great working environment which is supportive and varied. Due to current investments in new digital systems we are now looking for an additional **Finance Administrator** to join the team and help to continue the growth. If you have an interest in **finance **and ideally some financial / accounting experience, plus great administration skills then this role would suit really well. You will be supporting the Accountancy team in maintaining strong financial systems helping to ensure smooth delivery of client services.
**Main Responsibilities as Finance Administrator**
- Utilising Xero - loading client information, ensuring data is accurate and allocated correctly
- Producing reports and extracting information from Xero
- Setting up new client accounts
- Issuing new client engagement letters and updating existing clients
- Registering new clients with HMRC
- Handling bank reconciliations
- Managing supplier invoice reconciliations
- Liaising with clients for information, chasing missing financial details, and handling general queries
- Editing and updating documents
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of client VAT returns
- General ad-hoc administration support for the senior Accountants
**Main Skills and Experience as Finance Administrator**
- Finance Administration experience within a working environment - either industry or Practice side
- Experience of Xero would be beneficial - Sage, Sap, QuickBooks would be considered
- Organised, efficient, with strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills - both written and verbal
- Fully IT literate with a good ability to learn new systems
- Numerate, and enjoys working with financial information
- Willing and able to also support with the general administration functions
- Some Financial qualification such as AAT level 1&2, related degree such as Accountancy, Business & Finance or Economics, or part study of ACCA would be useful but **is not essential**
