The Kemnal Academies Trust (TKAT) is one of the largest Multi-Academy Trusts in the South and East of England, comprising 45 schools – primary, secondary, special and all-through. We are now seeking an exceptional leader to serve as the next Chair of the Board of Trustees. This is a pivotal opportunity to guide a strong and committed Board and to partner with the CEO in shaping and delivering our next strategic phase. You will provide effective governance and oversight, ensuring the Trust remains agile, values-driven and focused on delivering an excellent education for pupils in the communities we serve.

You will bring significant leadership experience from a large and complex organisation, along with a deep commitment to the power of education to transform lives. Commercially astute and values-led, you will demonstrate sound judgement, integrity, and an inclusive style that encourages constructive challenge and collaboration. With strong interpersonal and chairing skills, you will lead the Board with clarity, purpose and compassion, keeping children and young people at the heart of every decision.
