Sidcup, Greater London, United Kingdom House Of Willow Alexander Full time £40,000 - £70,000 per year

About the Role

We're looking for a multi-skilled, detail-obsessed Website & Ecommerce Operations Manager to take full ownership of our growing portfolio of websites — from our flagship lifestyle store to our premium home and garden service brands.

You'll ensure all platforms are accurate, on-brand, technically sound, and optimised for performance.

You'll manage content, SEO, DNS, product listings, and analytics, acting as the operational heartbeat of our digital estate. As we grow, this role will evolve into a leadership position with responsibility for building and managing a dedicated web and ecommerce team across the group.

Key Responsibilities

Website & Content Management

• Maintain and update multiple websites (primarily WordPress + SiteGround)

• Manage CMS content updates, blog uploads, and service page publishing

• Ensure consistency in layout, language, and visual branding (using Canva for content blocks/assets)

• Monitor and maintain site structure, mobile responsiveness, and URL hierarchy

Technical Admin & Infrastructure

• Handle DNS updates, domain routing, subdomains, and SSL via SiteGround or domain registrars

• Manage Google Search Console, GA4, and tag placement (e.g., Meta pixel, Klaviyo)

• Troubleshoot errors, plugin conflicts, redirects, and uptime issues as needed

On-Site SEO

• Optimise metadata, titles, headers, image alt tags and page structures

• Conduct regular SEO audits using SearchAtlas and Otto

• Coordinate keyword strategy with the wider marketing team

Analytics & Reporting

• Use Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, and Google Search Console to monitor site behaviour

• Build clear, actionable reports in Looker Studio

• Track performance across traffic, top pages, bounce rates, conversion funnels, and user journeys

Ecommerce Operations (WooCommerce)

• Manage product listings, categories, tags, attributes, inventory, and promotions in WooCommerce

• Ensure product data accuracy, pricing consistency, and image quality

• Coordinate seasonal launches, gifting, and store merchandising updates

• Troubleshoot plugin issues and ensure integrations are running smoothly (e.g. payment gateways, Klaviyo, etc.)

Ideal Candidate

• 4+ years' experience in website or ecommerce operations

• Deep working knowledge of WordPress, WooCommerce, and SiteGround hosting

• Confident managing DNS records, domains, redirects, and basic hosting issues

• Comfortable using Canva to format or adjust branded assets

• Fluent in Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio, Search Console, and Microsoft Clarity

• Familiar with SearchAtlas and Otto (or similar tools) for SEO and performance auditing

• Meticulous attention to detail, with a calm, structured approach to problem-solving

• Bonus: experience managing multiple brands or ecommerce environments

KPIs You'll Own

• Page speed and mobile responsiveness (Core Web Vitals)

• Technical SEO score and organic traffic growth

• Product catalogue accuracy and update cadence (WooCommerce)

• Conversion rate (across product pages and lead-gen service pages)

• Technical issue resolution time (across all sites)

• Quality and consistency of analytics and reporting via Looker Studio

Growth Path

This role will grow into:

Head of Web & Ecommerce

• Own and evolve the full web and digital commerce estate across all brands

• Build and manage a team of content editors, ecommerce assistants, and UX/tech freelancers

• Shape the digital experience roadmap, including platform upgrades and integrations

• Lead the ongoing development of our online store, editorial content experience, and service page structure
